Universal Pictures on Tuesday (May 16), released the long awaited trailer for the upcoming horror-thriller movie adaptation of the Five Nights at Freddy’s video game.

Originating from Scott Cawthon’s renowned video game franchise, which made its debut in 2014 and rapidly garnered a massive following, Five Nights at Freddy’s immerses players in a heart-pounding quest for survival as they navigate the haunted confines of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant.

Players must outwit hostile animatronic characters using security cameras, lights, and strategically placed doors.

The recently unveiled teaser effectively showcases how the film adaptation ingeniously integrates these nerve-racking game mechanics, plunging viewers into a nerve-jangling experience.

The movie features Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson in the role of a hapless security guard, adding an extra layer of relatability and tension.

Universal revealed earlier this year that Five Nights at Freddy’s would debut simultaneously in theaters and on the Peacock streaming service.
