As the newly appointed Executive Director of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC), Timar Powell brings to the role a wealth of experience in public-sector leadership, regulatory compliance and investigations. 

Having previously served in senior management positions at Ports Security Corps Limited, the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM), Powell is no stranger to navigating complex regulatory environments. But beyond the boardrooms and policy discussions is a man with a passion for good food, fine wine, sports and literature.
