

Wayne Marshall is one of Jamaica’s most beloved entertainers. Over the years, the talented reggae and dancehall artiste has been pleasing his fans with a slew of hits.
Marshall, who is known for his musical exploits, was born Wayne Mitchell on April 9, 1980.
The artiste’s debut solo album, Marshall Law, was released by VP Records in 2003, after which many would follow.
Some of the entertainer’s most popular tracks include Marshall Town, Overcome, Why You Doing It, and Glory to God.

In recent times, the 42-year-old, along with his uniquely blended family, have invited their fans, through their YouTube channel, to take a sneak peek into their dynamic family life.
The channel, which was started during the pandemic, showcases authentic and entertaining vlogs focusing on the family’s everyday life. The show provides a heavy dose of entertainment for its viewers.

The Meet the Mitchells Youtube channel continues to rack up views and subscribers.
The hit series is now part of CVM‘s prime time programming, with the first episode airing on Thursday (December 1) at 8:00 pm.
In spite of his many achievements, Wayne considers building his music career as his greatest accomplishment.

1. Favourite Jamaican saying?
As a Jamaican, Marshall is familiar with several sayings but his favourite among them is ‘Yung bud nuh know hurricane’. The saying, which conveys that young persons are more carefree and are not aware of the dangers of life as a result of a lack of knowledge and experience, is one you’ll probably hear the entertainer quote quite often.
2. Yuh betta can cook!
How many of you actually remember the first meal you prepared? Well, for Wayne, he remembers his first time in the kitchen and it was to prepare a plate of steamed fish.

3. Curry gravy syndrome?
Many Jamaicans are guilty of this, Wayne included. The entertainer’s preferred Jamaican meal is in fact fried chicken with rice and peas, topped off with some curry goat gravy.
4. Down time
In his leisure time, the artiste enjoys trips to the second city. His favourite thing to do is visit beaches in Montego Bay, St James. The artiste also enjoys creating works of art and drawing.

5. It runs in the blood
Earlier this year, Marshall’s eldest son, Giomar, showcased his lyrical abilities with his debut EP titled For Love, Songs.
The 17-year-old looks to be following in the footsteps of his father. The EP carries four tracks and has multiple meanings.
