Yendi Amira Phillipps, affectionately called ‘Yendizzle’ is a charismatic Jamaican beauty queen, model, TV presenter and motivational speaker.
Phillipps gained popularity and became a household name through pageantry. Over the years she has represented Jamaica in several pageants internationally.
She won the 2007 Miss Jamaica World beauty pageant, as well as the 2010 Miss Universe Jamaica pageant.
She represented Jamaica at the 2007 Miss World contest held in Sanya, China and at the 2010 Miss Universe, held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After pageantry, Phillipps became a TV presenter. She brought her magnetic personality to popular morning show Smile Jamaica, which she cohosted for several years. She currently hosts her own show Odyssey With Yendi on YouTube.

1. Pageant history!
The talented all-rounder model placed in Miss World Beach Beauty, Miss World Top Model, Miss World Talent, Miss World Sports and the Beauty with a Purpose award.
The Jamaican beauty made Miss World history and was the first contestant to ever place in all of the fast track events listed above.
Phillipps also created history as the first Jamaican woman to become first runner-up to Miss Universe.
2. She’s got the moves!
If you remember, Phillipps was front and centre in the dance routine during the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant. That was no accident as the beauty queen is actually a professionally trained dancer.
Phillipps holds a bachelor’s degree of fine arts with a concentration in dance from The College at Brockport, State University of New York and a master’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Management.
3. Any Virgo in the house?
Yendi is a Virgo! The model was born September 8, 1985. The traits of a Virgo include, being smart, sophisticated, and kind. Virgos are amazing friends, always there to lend a hand and also lend advice.
4. Off the Market…
The queen of pageantry is off the market! Phillipps tied the knot in August of this year with businessman Omar McFarlane at a private ceremony in South Florida.
5. Travel enthusiast!
Yendi loves traveling. Throughout her travels she has visited more than 50 countries and has no plans to slow down.
