Olaf Blackwood is a Grammy-nominated, certified multi-platinum artiste and songwriter. 

His single Selecta Pull Up with Shaggy released by VP Records recently has been climbing the charts. He is successful in the pop genre with a pop album slated for release soon and a reggae album produced by Shaggy, which will be released this year as well. 

Olaf has penned seven of the songs on dancehall artiste Spice’s 10 album which was nominated for a Grammy, a first for a female dancehall artiste.  

Olaf is already huge in Europe and the USA. The single Pull Up Selecta has so far reached number 1 on iTunes Austria and number 1 Croydon FM UK. He has worked with artistes such as Akon, Bounty Killer, Dean Fraser, Sanchez and Masicka but it was his collab with DJ Armen Van Buuren that made a name for himself and gave him worldwide recognition. Olaf also just signed on as brand ambassador for local company Lifespan Spring Water. 

Animal Rescue

Olaf founded the animal rescue organization ‘Paw Patriots’ locally and has personally rescued several animals, including two cats and a dog. He admits to driving around and feeding animals on the street. The next step is to set up adoption.

Brand Ambassador

Olaf is the newest brand ambassador for Lifespan Spring Water, a role he secured by tagging the company in a post on his social media. He admits that he loves the clean pure taste of this alkaline water.

Good Samaritan

Olaf has had several fortunate moments where he was able to save lives, including rescuing people from drowning and one from severe snow conditions. Notably, he saved Scott Westrum, a professor at Columbia University, earning the nickname “Olaf the Lifesaver” from his family.

Olaf is passionate about photography. He likes to dabble and wants to perfect his craft. He was recently featured in a full-page article in the Jamaica Gleaner, highlighting his self-portraits.

Olaf the Mentor, Music Publisher, and Producer

Olaf discovered and signed an 18-year-old artist named Rani to his publishing company, Holland Bamboo Music Publishing. This partnership has led to over 20 certified platinum, gold, and silver records, with more than a billion streams, and secured her a deal with Sony Music.
