Jamaican mobile customers eagerly anticipating the release of the iPhone 14 can depend on Flow’s network to activate and enjoy the feature-rich device, according to the leading communications and entertainment company.

Last Wednesday (September 7), Apple introduced its latest version of the wildly popular smartphone and announced that it will have an eSIM-only version for the US market, where many Jamaicans acquire the device.

Just last month, Flow launched eSIM in Jamaica and is the only provider offering this service, which means local consumers can stay on trend with one of the latest mobile innovations.

“eSIM is the future of mobile phone connectivity and Flow has stayed on pace with global mobile developments to offer our consumers the latest and the best,” said Dwight Williams, Flow’s commercial director of mobile.

“eSIM is a customer-focused innovation that offers greater flexibility and convenience, along with better safety features, that make it simpler to have two numbers or two WhatsApp accounts for business and personal use,” he added.

An eSIM works like a conventional SIM chip but is integrated into the phone by the manufacturer. On August 26, Flow introduced the service for iPhone users and is expected to have the service available for Android devices in the coming weeks.

Among the other service features are switching one’s phone number from a SIM to an eSIM, swapping eSIMs between compatible devices and shutting down the eSIM if your mobile device is lost or stolen.

“Along with offering the best value in the market, Flow has been staying on the cutting edge of mobile technological innovation,” Williams explained, while pointing out that Flow retail stores are expected to have the iPhone 14 in stock by December.

In addition to an eSIM-only version, the iPhone 14 includes amazing customer features such as a 48MP camera, a super-fast A16 processing chip for the Pro models and a crash detection that automatically dials an emergency number if the phone senses that the customer has been in an accident.
