In the spirit of giving this Christmas, Flow, in collaboration with Food for the Poor, has made a heartfelt donation to the Thompson family of Kingston 19.
The family of five received much-needed support as part of Flow’s ‘Christmasing’ campaign—the Christmas promotion that gifts its fixed and mobile customers.
The Thompson family’s donation included two baskets of groceries, packed with all the essential food items, and two smartphones, aimed at helping the family stay connected and improve their access to resources. Flow’s contribution was made possible through a partnership with Food for the Poor, which selected the family, along with support from local personalities The Mitchells and Deno Crazy.
“We are proud to provide this meaningful initiative,” said Latoy Lawrence, Head of Marketing. “At Flow, we believe in making a positive impact on the lives of Jamaicans, especially during the holiday season. Christmas is about more than just gifts; it’s about community and compassion. We hope this small gesture brings joy to the Thompson family and reminds us all of the true spirit of the season.”
William Massias, a consultant with Food for the Poor, also echoed the sentiment, highlighting the importance of community support in times of need. “It’s heartwarming to see organizations like Flow come together with us to make a real difference in the lives of families struggling in tough circumstances,” said Massias. “This time of year especially it is important that we get these families to experience the niceties of Christmas.”
Thompson, deeply grateful for the kindness shown to his family, shared his appreciation: “I’m very grateful for the phones and the food items provided. This means so much to us and we feel blessed. Thank you to Flow, Food for the Poor, and everyone who made this possible,” said Thompson.
Flow’s Christmasing campaign will continue spreading good cheer and great value until December 31, giving customers the chance to win weekly and grand prizes when they activate a mobile or Ya’ad & Road plan.
