Floyd Green, Member of Parliament for St Elizabeth South Western, has been appointed Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives.

As government business leader, Green will oversee the coordination of the Prime Minister Andrew Holness-led administration’s legislative agenda and guide the management of debates in Gordon House.

First elected in 2016, Green recently secured a third consecutive term in the 2025 General Election, a first for any Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate in the constituency.

In addition to his parliamentary responsibilities, Green also returns to his portfolio as head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, where he has been leading initiatives to strengthen Jamaica’s food security and rural development.
