One person is dead, and several are injured following a motor vehicle crash along the Font Hill main road this morning, June 13.
The deceased was the driver of a white Toyota Hiace bus. His identity has not yet been revealed by the police.
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn several times. Several passengers were injured and taken to Black River Hospital for medical attention.

Head of the St Elizabeth Division, Superintendent Coleridge Minto, disclosed that a female passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured and is now undergoing surgery.
“The persons were assisted by both the Westmoreland police as well as the St Elizabeth police. Persons were removed from the vehicle with the assistance of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, as well as other persons who stopped at the scene,” Minto said.
He noted that there have been a number of serious accidents along the Font Hill main road and appealed to motorists to drive with caution.
