In advising of the drop-off locations, Food For The Poor’s Executive, Craig Moss-Solomon said: “In addition to our online donation options (foodforthepoorja.org), we invite the public to continue to support our Haiti Relief efforts by contributing non-perishable food items and toiletries, tents (built for four or more persons), tarpaulins, first-aid kits, hygiene and personal care items, masks and baby items (diapers, wipes, cereals, etc.), which will be delivered to those most in need.”

He added that the Haiti relief efforts would not in any way limit or inhibit the vital ongoing work in support of needy Jamaicans.
“Our intent is never to divert aid away from needy Jamaicans. We seek to provide support for our brothers and sisters in Haiti through additional donations from persons wishing to do so with our assistance.”
Food For The Poor Jamaica is supporting a drive from its Florida office, which has been sending foodstuff and other vital supplies to Haiti, even before the earthquake struck the country on August 14. Additionally, Haiti has had to deal with torrential rains from Tropical Storms Fred and Grace.
