Operation RTG sets out to support the campus’ mission and vision, improve student satisfaction, and increase employee engagement by achieving several goals of the university. They include increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs through a review of portfolios within the campus’ administration and implementing new projects to generate at least J$4 billion in annual net revenue.
Dennis Cohen, a chartered accountant and distinguished business executive with over two decades in the financial sector, has assumed the role of chairman of Operation RTG, bringing a wealth of financial acumen and leadership to the UWI Mona campus.

Cohen said, “I’m eager to contribute to the transformation at my alma mater, paving the way for sustainable growth and innovation in the higher education market. This opportunity aligns perfectly with my commitment to fostering positive change and innovation.”
With the support of a consultant, the operation will be facilitated by a broad-based committee, with an executive steering committee chaired by Cohen. Additionally, a larger working steering committee will report to the executive steering committee, with Cohen also serving as its chair.
