Lighting and PVC manufacturing outfit FosRich Company Limited has secured real estate in the United States through which it will service that North American market.

In a release on the Jamaica Stock Exchange website, the company said that its subsidiary FosRich USA Inc has signed a lease agreement for an office in Tennessee, and has outfitted the space.

Additionally, the company has employed staff who will be engaged in “data collection and market research efforts.

“This will involve the collection of data, shortlisting contacts, as well as researching and cataloguing the specific federal, state, local, and company requirements and operating regulations and protocols,” FosRich revealed.

The Junior Market-listed company announced its entry into the US market last May, outlining its intention to “take advantage of opportunities available in this huge, near market, under the Federal Government Infrastructure Program, initially concentrating on three states”.

Managing director Cecil Foster has plans to supply the US with PVC pipes manufactured at its Marverly Road factory. It will also be partnering with Philips Lighting, Victron Energy, Siemens, and General Electric to distribute lighting and electrical fixtures.

He however told Our Today that the office will not serve as a distribution point but rather a service centre to engage with customers and secure sales in the US.

As part of efforts to secure a footing in the US market, FosRich USA Inc has held met with potential contractors for works in which the company may participate. The company has also been inducted into the City Chamber of Commerce and the County Chamber of Commerce

“We met with potential suppliers for both our new American and local Jamaican operations,” the release further stated.
