FourSixteen Distributors said it takes a fresh and dynamic approach to the distribution of wine and spirits, bringing a robust and diverse portfolio of exotic products from across the world to the shores of the Caribbean.

Backed by a rich cultural heritage and inspiring environment the Asconi Winery, located in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova, is the birthplace of Old Tavern Wines.

Boasting a 16 per cent alcohol content, Old Tavern is said to create a richness that wine lovers can
enjoy at home or while out with friends.

Wine making in Maldova has deep roots going back over 4,000 years. Asconi is one of the latest wineries in Maldova, established in 1994, and has received many awards of excellence for their products from numerous international competitions.

The new sweet-dessert wine release will feature Old Tavern White, Old Tavern Red and Old Tavern Rosé wines appealing to consumers with a sophisticated palate.

FEATURES OF OLD TAVERN WHITE

With more restaurants, fine dining spots and eateries focusing on sensory-based food and beverage experiences for guests — the art of enhancing spicey, savory and even earthy flavours with wine has allowed chefs to get more creative with their offerings.

Old Tavern White features 50 per cent Muscat and 50 per cent Chardonnay grapes. Its lemon-gold colour has a beguiling fragrance of peach blossoms, mandarin peel, with core of pineapple, lemon pie, peach marmalade, plus a waft of musk perfume and pairs well with fruity and savory flavours.

With a brilliant pink hue, Old Tavern Rosé is a rare blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir grape varieties and of course the winemaker secrets. It’s well-balanced and has slight strawberry, raspberry, citrus, and vanilla notes — making for ideal pairings with seafood especially salmon and soft cheeses.

For the chocolate dessert-obsessed, the Old Tavern Red is an inviting selection. Old Tavern’s Red is intense, well-rounded, with notes of dried cherries and plums, carefully covered under cocoa notes, hazelnut, and a gentle hint of oak.

The red wine is vinified from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, through the process of alcoholisation of the juices, which allows the preservation of natural sugar and balanced taste.
