After they clash for the first time in Gateshead in England on May 23, two-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, defending Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, and 2021 World number-one Sha’Carri Richardson will go up against each for a second time less than a week later in Doha.

The Jamaican women have six Diamond Trophies between them, but they will have their work cut out at the second Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season in Doha on Friday, May 28.

Richardson, 21, the world under-20 record holder, clocked a jaw-dropping personal best 10.72 at the Miramar Invitational in Florida in April and backed that up with another two sub-10.80 performances – 10.74 in the heat and 10.77 into a headwind in the final – at the USATF Golden Games held at Mt SAC in Walnut, California, on Sunday 9 May.

Meanwhile, Thompson-Herah, the defending Olympic champion in both the 100m and 200m, has also shown she is in good form, running 10.78 to win the Pure Athletics Sprint Elite Meet earlier this month after a windy 10.76 in her heat.

The Reynaldo Walcott-coached Fraser-Pryce has not run a 100m race so far this season but has had two outings over 200m and clocked a season-best 22.66.

The line up in Doha will also include Olympic and World Championship medalist Marie-Josée Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast as well as Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria, who has a season-best time of 10.97.
