SAINT’s Cameroonian star Gedeon Dapsia is one of two faces for the new Balenciaga Under Armour collab collection that recently debuted.

The gentlemen of SAINT International are in high demand to embody the season’s menswear aesthetic as envisioned by global fashion tastemakers.

The model duo of Jamaican Winston Lawrence and Gedeon Dapsia from Cameroon — in separately booked fashion assignments — were stylised mannequins for the newest threads from the Fall/Winter 2024 collections of European luxury houses Louis Vuitton (LV) and Balenciaga.

Staring back at readers from the cover of the latest issue of French magazine, the Portland-born and -bred Lawrence is draped in the latest from LV’s menswear creative director Pharrell Williams’ American West-themed collection that debuted in Paris back in January.

The SAINT ‘yardie’, lensed by photographer Izack Morales alongside model peers Brian Whitby and Muhammad Fadel Lo, shot the multi-page editorial titled ‘Go West’  in New York.

“It was an all-day shoot in May at Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn,” Lawrence disclosed of his glossy feature. “The experience with Izack felt like chilling with a friend.”

Jessica Bennett, a writer for the music and culture e-zine VIBE, reviewing Pharell’s 80-piece Americana-themed showcase, noted then: “It features plenty of leather, denim, earth tones and cowboy hats inspired by his famous Vivienne Westwood topper, as well as bright, streetwear designs that immediately recall his early membership to the Billionaire Boys Club.”

Rocking head-to-toe LV in the just-out photo story, Lawrence counted himself an admirer of Williams’ design aesthetic.

“I am most definitely a fan of Pharrell as a designer. I love the cowboy style of the new collection and the prints. My favourite look I wore on the shoot was the matching denim pants and jacket,” he shared.

Shedding additional insight into his activities when off modelling duty, the in-demand model said he continues to build deejay-cred as a turntablist.

“I played at a No Bad Fits fashion show in September during New York Fashion Week, and I play regularly in Flatbush here in New York with my friends at events we curate,” Lawrence explained, adding that he has “a handful of super cool spots lined up to play this Christmas in Jamaica”.

Jamaican model star Winston Lawrence covers the latest edition of French magazine sitting on South African model peer Brian Whitby’s shoulders as Senegalese model Muhammad Fadel Lo  lies in the sand The trio are photographed by Izack Morales and styled by Marcell Rocha for an editorial story focused on Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director Pharell Williams’ Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

Meanwhile, a hop over to Paris finds SAINT’s African stunner Dapsia very much still on board at Team Balenciaga — five years after making his international runway debut for the French label’s Fall/Winter 2020 show. This move was orchestrated by SAINT CEO Deiwght Peters from his office in Jamaica.

The Cameroonian co-stars in the recently dropped Balenciaga/Under Armour collaboration campaign. The joint capsule between the sportswear line and the Demna Gvasalia-led house features an expansive assortment of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags, jewellery, sunglasses and sneakers, which was unveiled as part of Balenciaga’s Spring 2025 show in Shanghai, China, back in May. The campaign, punctuated by slow-motion visuals, was lensed by photographer and videographer Joseph Kadow.

“I had three outfit changes for this job,” Dapsia said. “We shot the campaign at the end of October in a huge studio in a district in Paris.”

The SAINT model alternated looks that included limited-edition reversible tracksuits, layered track pants and knit sneakers that can only be purchased through Balenciaga’s online portal.

“It’s been five years since I did my first job at Balenciaga and it’s been a special ride. The team is very nice and I have remained fascinated with the Balenciaga universe. There’s only been good memories for me, and it’s a genuine pleasure to work with them,” he reminisced of the half-decade fashion partnership that continues to bloom brightly.
