Showers of rain did not stop the attendees of Frenchmen’s 30th Heroes Weekend parties from having the time of their lives, with events Manager Brett Wong boasting about the sold-out event’s success.
Wong shared that he feared that the delay of activities due to rain would impact the turnout. However, he was pleasantly surprised when the 30th staging of the event exceeded expectations.
“We are very happy that we had a sold-out weekend. Our patrons had a great time, and we delivered on the premium service. The rain gave us some challenges on Sunday, but we were able to adapt, and by all accounts, everyone’s expectations were exceeded, including our estimates,” Wong said in an interview following Sunday’s staging of ‘Foreplay’, the final event on the Frenchmen Heroes Weekend calendar.
He further expressed delight about the support from sponsors who, he said, allowed the Frenchmen team to stand the test of time and continue to deliver premium experiences through events 30 years later.
“We couldn’t be happier with our partnership. Frenchmen and Appleton Estate Rum have a long history together, and we have come full circle with both our brands and a new stage of evolution,” said Wong.

Kamal Powell, marketing manager of Appleton Estate, shared that the highlight of the event for him was the culinary options available from the start until the end.
“The Frenchmen party series is one we look forward to at every staging. The food options are always top-tier, and the cocktails are always exceptional – which is expected with partners such as Appleton Estate, Aperol Spritz, and Campari. Also, the vibe – simply unmatched. We are proud of the Frenchmen team and their ability to pivot while maintaining the premium standard of this event,” Powell said.
He applauded the Frenchmen team for 30 years in the business and commended them for how they have managed to maintain the brand’s image and keep their loyal attendees happy.
The next ‘Frenchmen Rise Up’ event will be on April 30, 2024. It will be followed by another Frenchmen Heroes Weekend between October 19 and 20, 2024.

Frenchmen events were started by Anthony ‘T Rob’ Robinson, Tony ‘TC’ Campbell, Dr Michael ‘Doc’ Banbury, Michael ‘Benji’ Benjamin, Ian ‘Juicy’ Wong, and Nigel ‘Wattie’ Watt in 1993.
According to Brett, the event has since changed how bars operate and has revolutionalise the entertainment industry.
