Last Sunday (February 15), over 30,000 people descended on Knutsford Boulevard in New Kingston to participate in the Sagicor Sigmar Corporate Run.
It was a fabulous day with Jamaicans turning up yet again for a good cause.
The annual event managed to raise over J$152 million, surpassing last year’s figure.
Over J$1 billion has been raised from the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run since it began. This year was its 28th staging.
All proceeds will go to five schools in western Jamaica that sustained major damage from last October’s Category 5 Hurricane Melissa.
