Garfield Grandison resigns as general manager of The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited

Garfield Grandison has resigned from his post as general manager of The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited (GCML), one of the oldest newspaper companies in the region.

Grandison’s resignation, which was announced yesterday by the Board of Directors of Radio Jamaica Limited, the parent company of GCML, is effective January 31, 2022.

The board advised that Grandison will continue in office until then and has indicated an interest in having a continuing relationship in content-related projects.

Christopher Barnes, GCML director and RJRGLEANER Group chief operating Officer, will take charge of the operations of GCML upon the departure Grandison, until a new general manager is appointed.

The RJR board has thanked Grandison for more than 25 years of service in various capacities at The Gleaner.
