General Accident TT appoints Arnold Gerald as interim CEO

General Accident Insurance Company Trinidad and Tobago (GenAc TT) has announced the appointment of Arnold Gerald to the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Friday, November 1, 2024.

Gerald, who currently serves as the company’s chief financial officer, will take on this new role to provide strategic leadership during this transition period.

Gerald joined the General Accident family in June 2023, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in finance and a decade of specialisation within the insurance sector.

Further, his proficiency in a wide range of financial disciplines contributes significantly to General Accident’s financial stability and growth.

His strategic vision, coupled with his meticulous approach to financial planning and management, ensures the company’s financial health and sustainability.

While discussing his own guiding principles he expressed his dedication to the role, stating:

“As Interim CEO, I am both honoured and committed to leading GenAc TT through this dynamic period. This appointment is a significant milestone, and I am grateful for the trust placed in me. He indicated that there would be no immediate changes to the company but that the focus will be on the continued strengthening of client relationships and enhanced service offerings to meet needs as they evolve.

Gerald holds an MSc in Professional Accountancy and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), qualifications that underscore his expertise and commitment to financial excellence.
