Jamaican pop upstart Akeem ‘GENRUS’ Bryan recently released his sophomore track Flow With The Beat, now available on all major streaming platforms.

The track, produced by Chad ‘Neegle’ Bryan, is playfully upbeat and as its name suggests, was inspired by the beat.

“It immediately connected with me,” GENRUS said.”The melody just flew through my soul.”

Flow With The Beat follows GENRUS’ debut track Switch It Up. Both tracks will be part of his first EP, entitled Switch It Up.

While he is still new to the game, he describes the creative process behind Flow With The Beat as the most ‘interesting’ one he’s ever had.

“This song was recorded in a home studio with the presence of [Nicolas] Groskopf who engineered and played the guitar.” GENRUS said.

“We also had a very special guest: Malcolm, who plays percussion for the legendary Buju Banton, come through and add vibes to the song.”

They then finished the track in Miami where Grammy award-winning engineer/producer/songwriter Dre Day did the final mix.

GENRUS is on the fast track to cementing his name in the industry as a talented singer and songwriter. The soft-spoken artiste, 20, has his sights set on making a positive impact on his community and peers.

He is back home (before taking on the road again) after opening a few shows for his management camp-mate Grammy kid Koffee, during her ‘Gifted Tour’. He is preparing to release his debut Switch It Up EP later this year.
