Opposition Leader Mark Golding is calling on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to act now in relation to JC Hutchinson’s nepotism revelation made by the Integrity Commission.
The Integrity Commission released a report on Wednesday (October 19) which indicated that Hutchinson was once again the cause in the nepotistic acts.
Reports are that he had influence in his son’s company benefitting from state contracts.
“The public cannot have trust and confidence in his continued presence as a member of the executive holding junior ministerial rank,” said Golding.
During a post-Cabinet briefing on Wednesday (October 26) Robert Morgan, minister without portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for information, suggested that no further action will be taken.

Morgan stated that the matter was brought up earlier and Hutchinson was sanctioned and given a lower position.
But according to Golding, that sanction was in relation to a previous matter, the Holland estate scandal.
“We have called on the prime minister to do the right thing on this matter we have heard nothing from him,” said Golding.
He added that he has written to the prime minister about the incident but has not been given a response.
