Golfer Anthony Kim

Anthony Kim has made a stunning comeback to professional golf, capturing the LIV event in Adelaide for his first tournament victory in 12 years.

The 40-year-old American returned to the spotlight after years away from the sport, during which he battled injuries, drug and alcohol addiction, and personal struggles that included encounters with scammers and moments of deep despair.

Kim vanished from professional golf in 2012, but last year he revealed the extent of his battles and even admitted to having contemplated ending his life. Originally joining LIV Golf as a wildcard in 2024, he has since joined Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces team after fellow American Patrick Reed departed the league.

His Adelaide triumph marks his first professional title since the 2010 Houston Open on the PGA Tour.
