Governor General Sir Patrick Allen to undergo spinal surgery

Governor General Sir Patrick Allen is set to undergo elective spinal surgery, according to a statement from King’s House.

The disclosure was made on Monday, December 16. The procedure is intended to alleviate the debilitating and painful effects of his condition.

During his recovery, Steadman Fuller, Custos Rotulorum for Kingston, will deputise to ensure the continuity of the Governor-General’s office.

King’s House extended prayers and well wishes for the Governor General’s successful surgery and speedy recovery.

“The nation remains grateful for his steadfast dedication and looks forward to his return to duty,” the statement said.
