With two days to go before Jamaica’s decisive World Cup qualifier against Curaçao, the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is reporting a major surge in national support as grandstand tickets are officially sold out.

The response signals powerful momentum behind the Reggae Boyz, with the JFF confident that the National Stadium will be filled to capacity on Tuesday evening (November 18).

Only a victory will secure automatic qualification for the Reggae Boyz, as second-placed Jamaica, on 10 points, walked away with a 1-1 draw with Trinidad and Tobago last Thursday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain. Group H leaders, Curaçao, are unbeaten with a razor-sharp one-point lead.

As part of the build-up, the JFF has also announced a special pre-game show starting at 5:00 pm, headlined by recording artiste Chris Malachi, whose breakout anthem ‘Brighter Days’ has become a rallying soundtrack of hope in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. The show will also include the celebrated Renaissance Disco, whose chart-topping legacy continues to energise Jamaican crowds.

The JFF is again urging patrons to wear yellow, the colour of hope, strength and renewal and to walk with a canned food item to support the federation’s ongoing Melissa relief programme. Donation bins will be available at the venue entrance.

JFF president Michael Ricketts said the early sell-out reflects the spirit of determination sweeping across the country.

“The nation is rising behind the Boyz,” he said. “We’re overwhelmed and grateful for this journey, and we can’t wait to see all of Jamaica come out in support. We thank everyone who has already secured their tickets, and we encourage others to join us and be part of something special. When the stadium is full, the Boyz feel it. Jamaica feels it.”

Tickets still available

Although grandstand seats are now fully sold out, fans still have several options to be part of Tuesday’s historic moment. Bleachers premium remain available and continue to be a favourite for supporters who enjoy the energy of the stands, with the added benefit of a 10 per cent discount when purchasing with Visa. For those seeking a more elevated matchday experience, the VIP section offers comfortable seating along with snacks and drinks throughout the evening. At the top tier, the Skyline package delivers the most seamless and exclusive experience, combining food and beverages with private security and preferred parking for fans who want their night at the stadium to be completely hassle-free. With momentum building, the JFF is encouraging fans to secure the remaining ticket categories quickly, noting that demand is rising across all zones as anticipation builds.

“This is shaping up to be a historic night,” Ricketts added. “We want every Jamaican who can be there to come out, wear yellow and add their voice to the roar that will carry the team over the line. Moments like these do not come often.”
