
The Jamaica Football Federation JFF) has announced that Gregory Daley has been appointed as the new general secretary, replacing Roy Simpson, who acted in the position following the departure of Dennis Chung.
Daley, a policeman, has stepped down as president of St James Football Association, which he served for the last 13 years, and also from his position as a vice president of the JFF.
Meanwhile, Omar McFarlane is the new operations manager of the Federation. He was acting general manager for the second half of 2025.
President of the JFF Michael Ricketts commented on the administrative changes.
“I would like to personally welcome Gregory into this capacity. He brings a wealth of knowledge, and he has vast experience in football administration, and I’m very confident in his abilities,” said Ricketts. “In relation to Omar McFarlane, he has been a great addition to the Federation, and we are looking forward to him continuing the great work he has been doing.”
Daley takes over from Roy Simpson as general secretary after serving in this capacity for the last six months and will return to his position as general manager.
“The JFF would like to thank Mr Simpson for his contributions in this role as he returns to his previous capacity,” said Ricketts.
