Grenadian singer-songwriter V’ghn is set to release his forthcoming EP Point of View on Friday, August 29, following a summer of performances across the Caribbean, US, Canada, and UK.
The project was teased on August 19 with an official EP release party at 229 in London, before V’ghn makes his much-anticipated debut at Notting Hill Carnival.
Point of View is a three-act body of work that blends soca, afrobeats, reggae, and R&B, reflecting V’ghn’s versatility and evolution as an artiste. The nine-track project includes collaborations with UK star Not3s on A List and Trinidadian hitmaker Travis World on Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Songs like Jab Decisions, inspired by Grenada’s traditional Jab Jab masquerade, and Story showcase his vulnerability, addressing themes of identity, rejection, and resilience.
This summer, V’ghn’s music has been embraced as part of the cultural soundtrack of Grenada’s Spice Mas, with Jab Decisions in particular sparking conversation as an unofficial anthem of the festival. His recent performances in Grenada, Toronto, New York, and London have further cemented his role as a cultural bridge, taking Grenadian traditions to global stages.
“This project represents different phases of my life and the challenges I’ve overcome,” says V’ghn. “It’s a declaration of who I am, what I’ve learned, and how I see the world. Music has always been my way of telling that story, and with Point of View, I’m letting people in on a deeper level.”
Known as the youngest Soca Monarch finalist in Grenada’s history, V’ghn has also built a reputation as a songwriter, penning hits for regional stars like Konshens, Christopher Martin, and Nadia Batson. In April 2025, V’ghn was officially appointed as the Caribbean’s first-ever World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) IP Youth Ambassador. With Point of View set for release on August 29, and his live performances bringing Grenadian culture to international audiences, V’ghn is positioning himself not just as one of the region’s most versatile hitmakers, but also as a cultural champion, sharing the spirit of the Caribbean with the world.
