Grenadian model found dead on BBC beach

Grenadian model, singer and songwriter Josiah Robinson was reportedly found dead on BBC beach in Grenada on Sunday (June 18).

Reports are that the Royal Grenada Police are currently investigating the matter. The cause of his death is not yet known.

According to Robinson’s Facebook page, he is a student of T.A. Marryshow Community College in Grenada and lives in Sandy Lane, Saint James, Barbados.

La Plywood Beach Bar Cafe, a local restaurant located on BBC beach in a Facebook post on Monday (June 19) said it is saddened to hear of Robinson’s untimely death.

“Jonty was true to who he was and always greeted everyone with his shy and genuine smile. It is quite unfortunate that he sang his last song at Plywood on Saturday, not even knowing that it would have been his last. We are working closely with the RGPF [Royal Grenada Police Force] in their investigation and trust that the perpetrators will be caught and dealth with to the fullest extent of the law,” the Cafe said in a statement.

Several persons also expressed their condolences on social media after learning about Robinson’s death and also hailed him as an ambitious individual.
