New platform enables customers in Jamaica and abroad to securely order prescription and over-the-counter medications for island-wide delivery

Every day, thousands of Jamaicans living overseas help parents, children, and loved ones back home with essential healthcare needs. Yet getting prescription medications into the hands of family members often requires multiple phone calls, coordinating with relatives, or asking someone to visit a pharmacy in person. Even for customers in Jamaica, accessing medications can mean unnecessary travel and long waits.

GroceryList is changing that.

Today, GroceryList announced the expansion of its digital marketplace to include pharmacy services, allowing customers across Jamaica to order prescription and over-the-counter medications for delivery. Members of the Jamaican diaspora can also securely upload prescriptions, purchase medications for family members, and have them delivered anywhere on the island.

Following a successful island-wide pilot, the new service represents another milestone in GroceryList’s mission to build Jamaica’s digital commerce infrastructure by connecting consumers with the essential products and services they need through one trusted platform.

Customers can securely upload prescriptions for review and fulfilment by licensed pharmacies, purchase over-the-counter medications, and arrange island-wide delivery—all through the same platform they already use for groceries and everyday essentials.

For Jamaicans living abroad, the service removes many of the barriers to supporting loved ones back home. Instead of coordinating prescriptions through relatives or relying on someone to visit a pharmacy, customers can upload a prescription, purchase the required medications, and have them delivered directly to family members anywhere in Jamaica.

Local customers also benefit from faster, more convenient access to pharmacy services, reducing the need for unnecessary trips while making it easier to receive prescription and over-the-counter medications from trusted, licensed pharmacies.

Prescription medications are dispensed only after review and approval by licensed pharmacies and in accordance with applicable Jamaican pharmacy regulations.

How to Access the Service

Customers in Jamaica and overseas can access the pharmacy service by visiting GroceryListJamaica.com or downloading the GroceryList Jamaica mobile app.

After creating or signing into an account, customers can select a participating pharmacy, shop for prescription or over-the-counter medications, securely upload a valid prescription where required, enter the recipient’s delivery information, and complete payment.

Prescription orders are reviewed by a licensed pharmacy before being prepared and delivered to the recipient anywhere in Jamaica.

As GroceryList continues to expand, the company plans to deepen partnerships with pharmacies, healthcare providers, and retailers while introducing additional digital services that strengthen its position as Jamaica’s everyday commerce platform.
