Everton “Beachy Stout” McDonald and his co-accused have been found guilty of the murder and conspiracy to commit murder, in relation to the killing of McDonald’s second wife, Tonia.

The verdict was handed down on Wednesday (March 6) in Circuit Court in Kingston.

His co-accused, Oscar Barnes, was also found guilty of the same offences by a seven-member jury, who were unanimous in their decision after about an hour of deliberation.

Denvalyn Minott, who was the contract killer hired by McDonald to commit the crime, and who is already serving a 19-year sentence after pleading guilty, was the main prosecution witness.

McDonald and Barnes are to be sentenced on May 16.

McDonald is also to stand trial for the killing of his first wife in May 2009.
