HAJ managing director booted after audit

Patrick Thelwell has been sacked as managing director of the Housing Agency of Jamaica (HAJ).

In a terse release from the Office of the Prime Minister, it was stated: “Following a management audit of the Agency, the Board of the Housing Agency of Jamaica (HAJ) has take the decision to terminate the contract of the Managing Director, Dr Patrick Thelwell, with an effective date of November 4, 2022.”

The OPM continued: “Mrs Doreen Prendergast, chief technical officer in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation has been seconded to the Agency as Managing Director, in the interim, until a new Managing Director is recruited.”
