Cecile Claudine Charlton, more popularly known as Ce’Cile, today celebrates her 48th birthday. The Jamaican dancehall DJ developed her love for music through ‘Ibo’ Cooper of reggae band Third World, who was a friend of her father.

As we wish Ce’Cile a happy birthday, here are a few songs to add to your playlist in celebration of the dancehall deejay.

Agent Saco and Ce’Cile in this 2011 single transfer bars about what they desire of each other in the bedroom.

Hey is featured on the Ce’Cile’s Jamiacanization album.

7. Nah Stress Ova Man

Nah Stress Ova Man is suspected to be about the artiste’s former partner, Cheater’s Anthem singer, Christopher Martin.

Ce’Cile boldly states that she does not have the time nor interest in worrying about a man, and is instead, makes herself the priority.

A female empowerment song, Ce’Cile indirectly encourages women to live in the present and be confident in themselves, noting that relationships will sometimes end, but you have to move on.

2004’s Loser by Lady Saw featuring Ce’Cile serves as the 10th track on the former’s Strip Tease album.

Produced by Christopher Birch, both the first lady of dancehall and Ce’Cile list and describe what constitutes to a ‘loser man’, sharing that if they are broke, abusive, unambitious or living with their mother, they deserve the capital L.

Can You Do The Work is 2001 track by dancehall DJ Sean Paul featuring the Ce’Cile. Released on the Dutty Rock album, Paul appears to be pursuing the singjay, sharing that his interest in her is not recent.

Although sharing that she is already in a relationship, the Nah Stress Ova Man flirtatiously explains that if he is really pining for her, he must be up for the challenge and up to her standards.

Hot Like We is the 16th track on the dancehall DJ’s 2008 Bad Gyal album. With rather aggressive lyrics, the artiste shares that when it comes on to sexual abilities and visual appeal, no other females are able outdo her and her friends.

3. Anything Fi Yuh

Head over heels in love, Ce’Cile feels inclined to tell her partner how willing she is to do anything for him. In the song she shares that she never expected to feel such strong emotions, and explains how easy love can turn a ‘hot girl’ into a ‘house wife’.

The 2011 track is from the singjay’s Solid Gold Vol. 1 album.

2. Cheater’s Revenge

One of the singer’s most popular songs on this list, many speculate Cheater’s Revenge, like Na Stress Ova Man, was written about her former partner, Christopher Martin.

The song was released five year’s prior to Martin’s popular Cheater’s Anthem, which shares a few similarities to the his ex’s Cheater’s Revenge. Cheater’s Anthem was featured on his Big Deal album.

1. Waiting

Waiting, another Bay Gyal track, was released in 2008. Ce’Cile expresses her unconditional love for her partner, sharing that no matter the circumstances, she will never ‘step out’ on her lover.

Smitten, the artiste shares that he does everything she requires and, as a result, her love and loyalty for him us unwavering.
