
Jamaican songbird Tessanne Chin Crooks is today celebrating her 40th birthday.
The soulful singer, who is commonly dubbed a ‘voice box,’ has managed to captivate the hearts of Jamaicans. She was born on September 20, 1985, to Christine Chin and Richard Chin.
She is also the younger sister of Jamaican singer Tami Chin.
Tessane has made a name for herself both locally and internationally. Tessane displayed the Jamaican culture and her cultural roots to the entire world when she won NBC’s reality TV singing competition, The Voice, in 2013.
During the competition, Tessane performed popular Jamaican hits such as Many Rivers To Cross by Jimmy Cliff and Redemption Song by Bob Marley.
