Valentine’s Day can be celebrated by everyone, not just couples, but also family and friends.
However, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, is there much to do when all your favourite spots are already booked out or locked down?
Not really.
The pandemic has isolated many single people – so much so that they are now craving and missing not only love, but friendships too.
Unfortunately, the pandemic won’t pause just so loved ones can celebrate. Therefore celebrations with friends, or others, may be a little more difficult to host this year.

It’s time to get creative.
Our Today has compiled a list of COVID-19- safe ideas to celebrate either Valentine’s Day, ‘Galentine’s Day’ or ‘Palentine’s Day’
Ha ha! – let’s get started.

A Netflix Party
Since gathering in mass is limited to a set number, bring the party online instead. There are apps that allow groups of people to stream a movie or show simultaneously on different computers, such as: Teleparty, Hulu, Watch Party and Group Watch. These apps include a chat feature to facilitate commentary during the agreed film.
A Zoom party
Since you can’t host a physical party at your house, have a virtual party instead. Set a time for all your friends to meet online, have a drink or two, with one person playing music and basically just talk and groove with your friends. You can incorporate games where each of you pick a fun, random topic and present them to your group. This will give your friend group the opportunity to solidify your friendships amid the pandemic.

Play online games that allow you to connect from afar
Multiplayer games like Call of Duty and Among Us made a mark in 2020 due to the COVID-19 that confined individuals to their home – away from their friends. Other games like ‘Uno’ can be played online for free if you don’t have the gaming system to facilitate games like COD or Among Us.

Quite frankly, the options are limited, and one can get annoyed from not seeing their friends and loved one. However, just the idea of being able to interact from afar should be good enough.
-Stay safe
