The Jamaica Meteorological Service says citizens can expect balmy conditions across much of the island today (January 11) as a high pressure ridge induces sunny skies nationwide.
The Met Office, in its Saturday morning forecast, indicated that the ridge is expected to prevail across the island towards the middle of next week, up until which fair weather will dominate.
A pair of cold fronts—the first extending north of Florida to the Bay of Campeche and the other outstretching to the northern Windward Islands—join the high pressure ridge as the most dominant weather phenomena across the region.
The maximum temperature expected for major cities Kingston and Montego Bay is 29 degrees Celcius.
