
The Caribbean Elite Group says all systems are go for the highly-anticipated Caribbean Music Awards set for August 29.
This year’s awards promise to celebrate Caribbean music’s finest talents with over 150 nominees and over 40 categories spanning a diverse range of islands and genres.
The star-studded event will take place at King Theatre in Flatbush, Brooklyn, where music enthusiasts and industry insiders alike will come together to honour the extraordinary talents and tracks of nominees.
Carefully chosen through a rigorous selection process, the nominees represent the pinnacle of Caribbean music excellence. Voting is underway and will conclude on June 30.
Leading nominations
Leading the nominations this year are Jamaica’s Dexta Daps with eight nominations, the energetic Skinny Fabulous with six nominations and the dynamic Masicka, Yung Bredda, Bounty Killer and Machel Montano with five nominations each.

Also receiving noteworthy nominations are Asa Bantan, Tee Jay, Cham, Byron Messia, Patrice Roberts, Rajah Wild, Nailah Blackman and Problem Child, each with four nominations.
Nominees, including self-nominations and peer acknowledgements, can vote through the official website at caribmusicawards.com.
The Caribbean Elite Group will be introducing exciting new categories such as International DJ, French Caribbean Artist, Latin Caribbean Artist, and Bouyon Artist of the Year, alongside Chutney, Calypso, and Konpa Honors.

As part of the portfolio, Caribbean Elite Group produces Caribbean Elite Magazine – a print and digital publication, which highlights Caribbean entertainers, artists, producers, promoters, cuisine, travel, fashion, entrepreneurs and more, while engaging in an array of topics that are of special interest to the community.
