Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader Andrew Holness was in high spirits on Thursday morning (February 8)—whipping up support for his team of councillors who were duly nominated ahead of the 2024 Local Government elections.

Holness wholly endorsed Delroy Williams, incumbent councillor for the Seiveright Gardens Division and sitting chairman of the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC), which administers the capital city.

The prime minister, flanked by throngs of JLP die-hards, was on hand for the nomination of Councillor Christopher Townsend, who seeks yet another term at the helm of the Olympic Gardens Division.

Meanwhile, newcomer Glendon Salmon cast his hat in the race for the Molynes Gardens Division, which he will have to wrest from long-time representative Patrick Roberts of the People’s National Party (PNP).
