Holness to leave island for 10 days, Chang left in charge

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is set to leave the island today (September 14) for the United States and the United Kingdom.

In a statement, the Office of the Prime Minister indicated that Holness will be attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, which takes place on September 19.

He will also attend the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York and a conference at Harvard University, returning to the island on September 24.

During his absence, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Horace Chang will lead the government.
