Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced a reshuffle in the constitution of his Cabinet of Government ministers and junior ministers.
Holness, speaking at a specially convened press conference this evening (May 22) at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), disclosed that Floyd Green would return to an augmented Ministry of Agriculture, Mining and Fisheries.
Outgoing portfolio minister, Pearnel Charles Jnr., will now assume his new duties as Minister of Labour and Social Security with Karl Samuda’s exit from the post.
Newly appointed to the Upper House, Senator Dr Dana Morris Dixon, was unveiled as minister without portfolio in the OPM ‘superministry’. Her responsibility will be with respect to skills and digital transformation.
What’s more, Daryl Vaz’s portfolio has grown larger with the absorption of the Ministry of Transport previously led by Audley Shaw.
Additionally, Alando Terrelonge will now serve as state minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade.
