Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security and Peace, Dr Horace Chang, is recuperating well after undergoing an elective medical procedure over the weekend.

According to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister on Monday, the deputy prime minister is expected to make a full recovery. No further details were provided about the procedure.

In the interim, Prime Minister Andrew Holness will oversee the operations of the Ministry of National Security and Peace.

Government officials extended well wishes to Dr Chang, expressing speedy recovery and quick resumption of duties.
