The deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl is ravaging America and according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is the number one killer of Americans under the age of 45, claiming over 70,000 lives a year.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid mixed with recreational street drugs or prescription pain killers creating a deadly cocktail 50 times more potent than heroin.

The Mayor of San Francisco, London Breed said that there were more overdose deaths in one year than COVID deaths, such was the impact of Fentanyl. The drug has taken over the streets of San Diego and other major U.S. cities.

Rock stars, Prince, Tom Petty and Coolio all died from Fentanyl overdoses.

At a House Select Committee Hearing, former National Security official Matthew Pottinger said it is estimated that China is responsible for over 90 per cent of illicit Fentanyl found in the U.S.. He added that China was intentionally allowing Fentanyl to be shipped to the U.S.  and is using it to commit diplomatic blackmail.

Beijing denies that it is the cause of the U.S. Fentanyl crisis and blames the U.S. pharmaceutical industry and America’s social problems.

Last month Congressman Dan Newhouse launched the Central Washington Fentanyl Task Force

“Today we take a bold step forward in our unwavering fight against the Fentanyl crisis that has inflicted immeasurable pain on our families and friends in the United States.

“We cannot stand idly by while this deadly drug ravages our communities, claiming lives and tearing families apart. The Central Washington Fentanyl  Task Force will be a powerful force for change, bringing together the best minds and resources to tackle the growing threat of Fentanyl in our region. The devastating impact of the Fentanyl crisis requires an all-hands-on-deck approach,” Newhouse said at the launch.

Republican Representative Jim Banks of Indiana put a bill forward sanctioning the Chinese Government for the Fentanyl crisis plaguing America.
