When Latoya Anderson-Buchanan lost her job at a local corporate company, she found herself knee-deep in debt and had to find a means of caring for herself and her son.
She thought having years of experience in corporate Jamaica and a decorated resume in sales would have landed her a job quite easily, but found this belief untrue when multiple interviews proved futile after months of searching.
The notion of turning lemons into lemonade became her mantra, and she decided to use her skill sets in training to open her new business, ’24 Gates Consulting’, a faith-based consultancy where she coaches entrepreneurs and business owners in strategies for business development.

Based on interactions with numerous companies at various levels, she realised that businesses in the MSME and SME categories generally lacked the business development structure that contributes to greater profitability.
Anderson-Buchanan answered the call to address this issue when she penned and published not one but two business development books designed to improve revenue generation, titled Sold Out and Building Fortitude.

These books were launched at The Summit Hotel on Friday, May 30, and she gifted books to the Small Business Association and churches with a large congregation of business owners.
She thanks sponsors CUMAX Wealth, Medco Medical Supplies, Firm Insurance Brokers Limited, Carlisa Enterprises, K & M Meats and Grocery, Contagious Shipping, Yahweh’s Anointing Publishing, Bloozick Media Productions, close friends and her personal doctor who paid for the publishing.
Readers described the content of the books as easy to read, practical, and relevant, with strategies to increase the sales portfolio.
