Magna Motors Dealership Limited, the exclusive distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Jamaica, hosted the launch of the refreshed 2025 Hyundai Tucson at its flagship showroom on Oxford Road, New Kingston.
The event brought together government dignitaries, business leaders, customers, and members of the public, underscoring Hyundai’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and development in Jamaica.
In his address to attendees, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz congratulated Magna Motors on this milestone.
Reflecting on Hyundai’s growth in Jamaica, he noted, “It is unbelievable to see how far Hyundai has come since entering the Jamaican market. This launch is a testament to the expanding options available to Jamaican consumers, ensuring that they benefit from increased competitiveness, value, and choice in the automotive industry.”

During her address, Luz Tejeda, managing director of Magna Motors, shared “The 2025 Hyundai Tucson is more than a car—it is a statement of Hyundai’s vision for smarter, safer, and more sustainable mobility. We are proud to introduce a vehicle that not only meets but exceeds the evolving needs of Jamaican drivers while contributing to a greener future.”
The highlight of the evening was the grand reveal of the Tucson, where the showroom lights dimmed and a dynamic video showcased the SUV’s innovative features, including a 360-degree view system, heated seats, and an elevated design.
Ian Bennett, client sales advisor, provided a live vehicle walkthrough, offering attendees an up-close look at its advanced functionality.
Etmour Williams, commercial manager of Magna Motors, reiterated Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to Jamaica.
