Showcasing several operational and secure communications platforms ay CANTO 2025, US-based network security outfit iconectiv is seeking to make inroads in the Caribbean.

The company has identified an opportunity to support the increased penetration of broadband internet and telecommunications services in the region. According to an industry report by GSMA Intelligence, digital services in the Caribbean are expected to increase with projections that mobile subscriber penetration will grow by 71 per cent in 2025.

Consequent on this shift in telecommunications—driven by expanding broadband access, growing mobile adoption and infrastructure modernisation—iconectiv is positioning its operations to be a part of the region’s digital transformation.

To support its efforts and continued momentum, iconectiv showcased a premium lineup of operational and security platforms already helping to drive a unified and sustainable Caribbean digital society at CANTO 2025, held July 13–16 in Nassau, Bahamas.

“Iconectiv is highlighting four mission-critical solutions that enable communications service providers (CSPs), regulators and ecosystem partners to optimise networks, reduce communications fraud, preserve and conserve energy and improve operational efficiency, the company outlined in a release.

The first, TruNumber Protect, allows CSPs to access real-time phone number intelligence and proactively detect and block suspicious calls and texts. The Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA) reports that telecommunications fraud costs in the global economy had an estimated cost of $38.95 billion in 2023, with 4 Caribbean countries experiencing the highest fraudulent traffic termination destinations.

“By drawing on trusted data sources like regulators, telecom consortia and global numbering administrators, the platform protects revenue and customer trust,” iconectiv explained.

Another service offered by iconectiv is TruNumber Routing. By avoiding incorrect routing and expensive intermediaries, CSPs can enhance customer experience and protect their bottom line. The platform also supports precise rating by delivering current number plans and portability data for every market in its coverage area.

The company also provides TruOps Common Language and TruOps Telecom Routing Administration.

“As the Caribbean advances on its path toward digital acceleration, iconectiv is continuing to help the region in building a fast, fair and future-ready communications ecosystem,” said Peter Ford, executive vice-president, iconectiv.

“With proven regional experience and a long-standing track record as a globally trusted industry leader, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities across the Caribbean’s diverse telecom landscape. Our suite of proven, carrier-grade platforms not only enhances network performance and operational efficiency but they also play a critical role in strengthening security and combatting fraud. We remain committed to supporting the region’s drive toward sustainable, high-speed connectivity and empowering stakeholders at every level of the communications value chain.”
