IDB Invest,the private sector arm of IDB Group, will rekindle its flagship event, Sustainability Week, into a hybrid gathering that will engage 300+ leaders at Hilton Miami Downtown, FL. and 2,000+ participants virtually from June 28 – July 1. This is the first meeting since 2019.

The pandemic offers a unique chance to rebuild sustainably. The private sector, together with governments and civil society, has a leading role to play to scale-up sustainable solutions and mobilise resources to Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Sustainable investments have soared, with global investments in ESG expected to balloon to $50 trillion by 2025, from about $35 trillion in 2020. In Latin America and the Caribbean, green, social, and sustainable bonds more than doubled in two years, with a market size of $48.6 billion.

WHAT: Under the theme ‘From Thinkers to Doers’, Sustainability Week will see 100+ panels and 50+ global speakers across the most pressing topics: Climate Action, Sustainable Value Chains, Digital Transformation, Just Transition, Financial Innovation, and Small & Island Countries.

Prominent business leaders like Teresa Vernaglia, CEO at Brazilian water & sanitation company BRK Ambiental; Joe Koechlin, CEO at Peruvian eco-tourism company Inkaterra; Jose-Antonio Crespo Barnetche, CEO of healthcare company Farmalisto in Mexico, Colombia and Peru; Mike Maura, CEO of Bahamian tourism company Nassau Cruise Port; and Charles Moser, Managing Director, Santander USA will join conversations around issues regarding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors now shaping how companies do business and invest.
