Resources from India, USA and Jamaica have banded together to create IKONWORK, a new end-to-end HR solution, optimising talent acquisition for businesses.

The new platform, sponsored by Beryllium, bonds social media interaction with job searching supplemented by artificial intelligence (AI) technology to empower youth to seamlessly enter the Jamaican labour market.

Speaking at the launch event for IRONWORK at the AC Hotel in Kingston on Tuesday (January 30), Senator Dr Dana Morris Dixon said, “A tool like this is very much tailored to our young people, our GenZs, who are exposed to so much technology and are so tech savvy. They want tools like this where they can interface and find work in that kind of more tech-savvy environment. The old environment doesn’t really work for them, and we have to be able to understand that.

The platform to date already has 40 companies on board for job seekers to peruse from. It has advanced search filters whether by industry location or job type, customised profiles, an efficient application process that also allows for job alerts and a mobile-friendly design.

In addition to the social platform, it includes IKONWORK HIRE, a seamless applicant tracking system, which allows recruiters to manage applications, communicate with the candidates, streamline the hiring process, and make decisions based on analytics.

Veda Samai, chief executive officer of IKONWORK HIRE, said, “This is more than just a tool for employers. It is a strategic ally pursuing organisational excellence and contributing to long-term success. The applicant tracking software tool streamlines your hiring processes so that you can find the best employees faster.”
