‘I’m NOT in talks’: James Cameron rejects rumours of OceanGate film

Acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron, in a statement on his social media page on Saturday (July 15), vehemently denied rumuors suggesting his involvement in an upcoming film based on the ill-fated voyage of the ‘OceanGate’ submersible.

The director, known for his deep-sea explorations and blockbuster films such as Titanic and Avatar, was quick to dismiss the reports as “offensive rumors.”

I don’t respond to offensive rumors in the media usually, but I need to now,” stated Cameron. “I’m NOT in talks about an OceanGate film, nor will I ever be.

Cameron, renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and groundbreaking work in underwater cinematography, addressed the world directly to clarify his position.

The submersible had been on a commercial voyage to explore the wreckage of the RMS Titanic, with experts presuming that the vessel simply imploded on its descent into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
