India’s vaccine gift to Jamaica to arrive next week

Indian High Commissioner to Jamaica Shri R. Masakui is announcing the gift of 50,000 doses of the highly sought Astra Zeneca coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

High Commissioner Masakui, speaking at a media conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kingston on Friday (February 26), said that the boosters will arrive in Jamaica next week.

Also present at the announcement was Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Christopher Tufton.

Astra Zeneca vaccine, which is administered in two doses, will provide protection to 25,000 persons.
