An inmate was fatally stabbed by another inmate at Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston during a physical altercation on Friday (June 16)
The deceased has been named as Melvin Hill who was reportedly stabbed around 1′ o clock on Friday by another inmate after an altercation with an improvised weapon to the right side of his abdomen.
Hill was later rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital but later succumbed to his injury.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is investigating the matter.
