Experts in the digital space will be gathering in Jamaica next week for the 31st Forum of the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG31).

The CaribNOG 31 Forum will convene regional and international network engineers, internet service providers, regulators, policymakers, and technology leaders in Kingston from April 14–16, 2026 to collaborate on strengthening the Caribbean’s digital infrastructure.

This year’s theme, “The Resilient Archipelago: Strengthening the Caribbean’s Digital Core,” focuses on building more secure, reliable, and resilient networks across the region. Jamaica’s utilities regulator, the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) is hosting this forum.

Key topics for this year include cybersecurity sensitisation for small service providers, the re-launch of the JAIXP, building cloud and infrastructure resilience, and best practices for the successful implementation of Internet Exchange Points.

Through expert-led panels, workshops, and technical sessions, participants will explore strategies to enhance the reliability, security, and overall resilience of the region’s internet infrastructure.

Among the keynote speakers will be Minister of Energy, Transport and Telecommunications Daryl Vaz; OUR Director General, Ansord Hewitt and Director, Jamaica Cyber Incident Response Team (Ja-CIRT); Lt Col (Retired) Godphey Sterling.

The forum will also hear from Dr. Maria Myers Hamilton, Managing Director, Spectrum Management Authority; CaribNOG Cofounder and Director of Caribbean Affairs (ARIN), Bevill Wooding and Giovanni King; CEO, Blue Nap Americas.
