The reported suicide of Ayeisha Ewers in Atlanta, Georgia has led to many asking why the Wells Fargo wealth advisor would take her own life.

At just 42, the former NCB banker, who migrated to Atlanta from Jamaica with her husband, was found dead on January 5, a gunshot to her head and a suicide note near the body.

Her husband of 20 years, Khalandgi Ewers, returned home and discovered Ayeisha slumped over and immediately alerted the police.

A memorial service was held for her in Jamaica last week and many recalled a vivacious young woman, full of life. Both her and her husband had done well in the United States (US) – immigrants made good.

INVESTIGATION OF UNNATURAL DEATH

Ayeisha Ewers had built up a list of well-to-do clients and was an accomplished wealth advisor at Wells Fargo in Atlanta.

 Khalandgi and Ayeisha had a daughter.

Because suicide is considered an unnatural death, US police authorities will be investigating Ayeisha’s demise. The reasons one decides to take his or her life can be psychological, biological, social or a combination of the three.

The final determination will be made by the medical examiner after all the facts are evaluated.

The investigation remains ongoing.

This is a very sad time for Khalandgi, Ayeisha’s family and friends. They will need support.

Wells Fargo will be holding a celebration of her life in two weeks’ time.
